Focus Area:  Staying the Course

Today, you will learn or re-familiarize yourself with a special, precious suit; a covering if you will.  Its purpose is to protect you from the Enemy’s deceit and get you closer to God.  And it’s tailor-made just for you.  You see, the Devil is very skillful.  He knows just the right person to tear you down and the perfect scenario to break you. You start to question your beliefs, yourself, and maybe even your God – Satan’s main goal. But all that stops here! 
Each piece of God’s armor is here to protect you from every angle the Devil tries to come at you. And if you put it on daily, he won’t stand a chance.  Sooo, let's SUIT UP! 

The Belt of Truth (Ephesians 6:14) - Put on the belt of truth by knowing you can go to God for truth regarding your situation.

Defensive Strategy: What does God say about your stronghold?  Ask in prayer or find out through His Word.

The Breastplate of Righteousness (Ephesians 6:14) - Put on the breastplate of righteousness by knowing you can go to God for correction of and direction for your unhealthy thoughts and behaviors.

Defensive Strategy:  Ask God to reveal any unhealthy behavior or thought patterns.  Ask God what does He expect of you in this situation.

The Shoes of Peace (Ephesians 6:15) - Put on the shoes of peace by knowing you can go to God for peace in knowing there is a reason for this season and thank Him for the experience.

Defensive Strategy:  Find scriptures to help during this time and meditate on them.  Thank God for the experience, lessons learned, growth, connection with Him, future testimony, and hope.  

The Shield of Faith (Ephesians 6:16) - Put on the shield of faith by knowing you can go to God for trust that He will take care of what you cannot and grant you the power and strength to push past the fears and doubts.

Defensive Strategy:  By His power, push past the fears and doubts that seek to paralyze you in insecurity.  Choose to follow God where He is leading and trust that He will take care of the rest.  Remember past times where He's shown up for you.

The Helmet of Salvation (Ephesians 6:17) - Put on the helmet of salvation by knowing you can go to God for protection from the negative thoughts in your mind.

Defensive Strategy:  What are the deep-rooted emotions Satan is using to attack your identity?  Counter the lies with God's truth via prayer and His Word.

The Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) - Carry the sword of the spirit by knowing you can got to God for practical examples on how to live this life.

Defensive Strategy:  Find the scripture that you need to defeat the enemy and win your war.

Prayer (Ephesians 6:18) - Remember that you can go to God for one-on-one conversation

Defensive Strategy:  Have one-on-one conversation with God to seek answers and feel His presence.
