When Writing Isn't Your Thing

It was expressed in "Healing Starts with a Piece of Paper" that writing can be a form of therapy.  That it can help you identify the root of an issue. 

Well, while this is true, what wasn't considered was this: what if writing isn't your thing?  Perhaps you are a talker and you find solutions when you talk things out.

If this is you, here is a suggestion.  Find a trusted friend whom you can be vulnerable with and have them ask you these three questions:    

  1. Describe the emotions you feel when you think about your pain points?
  2. Tell me about the situations in which you feel these types of emotions?
  3. Why do you feel this way?

Generally, one question will spawn more questions until you begin to see patterns, unhealthy beliefs, and eventually experience a breakthrough.
